As previously reported, Teachers' TV, the digital channel for everyone working within the UK schools sector funded by the DfES, is launching tomorrow. Their web site is split in to primary, secondary (curriculum topics) and general zones (education related news and documentaries), and also includes a programme guide.
Registration will give you access to a customised programme guide, email alerts and whole programmes to download.
Available 24 hours a day on digital satellite, ntl, Telewest, HomeChoice and KIT, with programmes repeated overnight on Freeview for recording, most programmes will also be streamed and available for download via www.teachers.tv.
There's also a range of digital tv offers and discounts available to people working within education in the UK available from the Get Teachers' TV website. More details after the jump.
Comet is offering 10 per cent off all equipment used to get the Freeview service — so that's digital set-top-boxes and integrated digital TVs, as well as personal video recorders (PVRs) which let you record Freeview really easily. PVRs will be particularly useful for watching Teachers' TV, as the channel broadcasts overnight on the Freeview service.
