'Better theories of learning are embedded in video games than many children in primary and secondary schools ever experience in the classroom.'

Surely the major difference is that kids actually want to play the games because they're fun, so any learning is secondary. Unless that constitutes a theory of learning itself? You know, that people learn best when they a) are enjoying themselves, b) can see the point of what they're doing and c) feel part of a positive group.
