Introducing...Moodlebug!
I've broken out a new Moodle-related blog, called Moodlebug, where you'll find primarily news and resource based posts for people interested in or working with Moodle.
I've been running EdTechUK for a while now, and I've been encouraged by how useful it's been and how much I enjoy blogging and being a part of the Edublogosphere. I'm currently managing a project which will see the Moodle platform supporting learning and facilitating communities across five Leicestershire Colleges. So this blog will be of use to our localised community in the first instance, but I hope will be of interest to and make a positive contribution towards the wider Moodle community.
Moodle blogs are not yet available, and although I'm planning on supporting their extensive use within the projects institutions, I'm going to maintain my TypePad blog for this purpose. Firstly because I've been really happy to date with TypePad, I like it's layout, features, and very importantly, I've had minimal problems with spam. It also gives me a measure of independence from the project and from my institutionally supported systems. I'm also very much aware at the moment - thanks to the timely discussions going on over at Derek Morrison's Auricle around how institutional practices can discourage innovation and diversity - that one Swiss army knife, however excellent and customisable, does not a tool shop make.
Hope you find it interesting!
